Manx Telecom Supports Local Charities with Connectivity and Top-Up Donations
Manx Telecom, the Island’s leading telecommunications provider, has made a series of charitable donations to help two vital community organisations better connect with and support the people they serve.
The Isle of Man Salvation Army has received 10 x £25 top-up cards to help ensure those in need can access essential telephone services. The Salvation Army works tirelessly across the Island to support vulnerable individuals and families, and reliable communication is a crucial part of the assistance they provide.
Victim Support IOM has received 25 SIM cards along with £250 worth of £10 top-up vouchers, enabling the charity to provide connected mobile devices to those it supports. For many victims of crime, having access to a phone can be a lifeline - whether to contact support services, stay safe, or simply maintain connection with loved ones during difficult times.
Kate Hegarty, Group Marketing and Consumer Director of Manx Telecom, said: “At Manx Telecom, we believe that staying connected should never be out of reach for anyone in our community. The Isle of Man Salvation Army and Victim Support IOM do extraordinary work supporting some of the Island’s most vulnerable people, and we are proud to play a small but meaningful part in helping them do that.”
These donations form part of Manx Telecom's wider corporate social responsibility programme, supporting Island communities through the Marg McGee Community Awards. To find out more about the awards, visit manxtelecom.com/mmca.
